Day 4 Of The 17 Day Diet.. Oops Eleanor

I woke up to a 6 ounce gain! Pouting about it, I mentioned it to Sabrina Espinal and she said it was probably just water retention, that I must of ate something with salt. Lightbulb! The culprit my seasoning salt I used to season my chicken. Now weighing 143.4 pounds to reach my first goal 13.4 pounds need to go.

Today is the 2nd day of the 2 day detox, hopefully I can make up for the salt blunder.

Salt is needed but it is a bad thing for a lot of reasons. But…you are doing really great. Did you do your 17 minutes of exercise? See ya tomorrow on your blog!

I’ve been doing the 17-Day Diet (except I don’t use that fake sugar stuff nor do I eat fat-free cheese or other low-carb condiments. I want to only put natural ingredients into my body. This is more about being healthy than skinny for me.
For exercise, I have been doing the Jillian Michael’s 30-Day Shred DVD that I bought (although I have seen it on YouTube so you can try it before you buy it). It’s only 20 minutes, but it will really work your body!!!
So far I have lost 19 lbs. I am back to Cycle 1 again (as I still have more to lose) and am really enjoying this way of eating. I am not much for salads, but I get lots of lean protein and veggies in. For instance, last night I made roasted Turkey Tenderloins with roasted carrots, onions, and celery. I did a light coating of olive oil on everything and seasoned it with dill weed, thyme, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper. You cook the veggies first for 15 min at 425 and then add the turkey tenderloins and cook an additional 25 min. Such an easy dinner and you wouldn’t believe how delicious it is! I made 4 servings and then my hubby and I have the leftovers for lunch the next day. Tonight we are having Turkey Chili.
I have a fellow co-worker who is doing the medi-fast diet. She is starving all the time and can’t believe I can have this much food and still lose weight! I wish people understood that starving themselves is not the answer!!! I am never starving and I take the time to make healthy meals that we enjoy so that we don’t want to quit.
I just finished my leftover Turkey Tenderloins and veggies….can’t tell you how yummy that was!!!
I’ve seen a lot of people talking about this diet online and I can see there are a lot of uninformed people out there. You can’t trust a recipe just because it says it’s for a specific cycle. Read the list of ingredients and see if it has anything that is not on the list. If you cheat, you won’t get the results you want! And if you allow yourself sugar (or fake sugar), you are just going to put your body into a cycle of craving sweets. Put on your big girl pants and just give up the sugar already!!! How bad do you really want to lose weight??
Reminds me of a sign I saw which said, “You don’t need to starve yourself, but you don’t need those greasy fries, either.”
