In between husbands, before I met McDreamy and fell head over heals, I dated a guy from Kansas who had 2 cute little boys. I can hear you laughing, Vegas girl and a guy from Kansas. I am a straight up city girl, and he was a total country boy. Boots and all, right down to the Ford pickup truck and big old belt buckle. Oil and water baby.. Yes I do have a point to bringing this up.
On one of my visits to see him, he was telling me about how his mom’s buttermilk biscuits where to die for, and that I needed to know how to make biscuits. Being the carb monster that I am, he got no argument from me. The best thing that came out of that relationship is that I can make biscuits from scratch when following this recipe. Who am I kidding that is the only thing that came out of that relationship.
I love learning new things, and I use to love to cook all the time. I am starting to enjoy it again. I am from the north, a Jersey girl , but my grandmother and mother came from the south and these biscuits look exactly like my grandmother used to make!!!!! Yummmy , Yuuuuuuummmmmmm !!!!!!
