Are you getting overwhelmed with the daily routine tasks of running your business and aren’t the best use of your time? Or are you overwhelmed with the many technical tasks that are part of running an online business? Then it’s time to start thinking about outsourcing. Not sure what you want to outsource? Here’s some tasks to get you thinking!
· adding content to website
· formatting content
· editing content
· audio editing
· video editing
· setting up/mailing out newsletter
· scheduling podcast guests
· social media management
· content creation
· group moderation (community management)
· auto responder set up
And those are just some of the things you could outsource…there are many more depending on your business and what you need help with. You might also want to start tracking how long those tasks took and noting the amount of time that each one took.
Now it’s time to finalize your thoughts on the tasks that you need help with. Grab your list and spend a few minutes thinking about the priority of each task you wrote down. Rewrite your list in order of priority (or number it – whatever works for you to keep track of the first priority, second, etc.)
After you’ve prioritized the projects and figured out how long you’ll need someone to devote to a particular task, you need to think about your outsourcing budget. This is an important step when it comes to outsourcing. For example, if you only have a budget of $150 don’t expect to get 10 hours of work done. You have to be realistic. You’re going to pay more to find quality help.
So now that you’ve done all this, what comes next?
It’s time to move onto the next step – finding and talking to several service providers to find one that will be a fit for your needs. One way to get started is by asking people you network with. Or you could try a freelancing site but it can be difficult to screen for quality providers.
I’d like to share with you my go-to list of service providers.
