I am in a snarky mood right now. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I sent out an email through aweber and this response came back to me from my other site. I am very tempted to put the person’s name behind their message, but I will behave…
This lead has unsubscribed by following the link at the bottom of one of your AWeber messages, and decided to provide comments.
I really appreciate proper spelling and grammar and struggle to read some of your emails without wanting to get out a red pen. You may want to check things a bit more thoroughly before sending. It’s hurting your credibility.
Why I am feeling snarky about this? The comment is rude with a capital “R”. I mean she could of tried to add a little honey to it. What is that saying? Better yet she could of just unsubscribed and went on her marry little way. But since she didn’t I suppose I should thank her for the unsolicited advice.
But what really burns my tush, is that this person is a troll. When I say she is a Troll, I mean she signed up to my list because she does the exact same thing I do. She wanted to see how I was marketing to my email list. How do I know this? She signed up to my list with the email associated with her business website. Her little comment about hurting my credibility, has me rolling laughing. Because she has no credibility. Yes, here comes another mean and snarky thing out of my mouth. Her 233 connections on LinkedIn to my over 3,000 connections. Yes, let’s talk credibility, shall we?
Was this post worth writing, probably not. I am on a few internet marketers email lists and this is one of their biggest pet peeves. Other people calling attention to their mistake, when they are sharing invaluable information via webinars or emails. If you are going to nit pick over a typo, you are going to miss out. When a well known internet marketer makes a typo and someone brings it to their attention, the internet marketers response is usually along the lines of how much money is in your bank account? My point here is yes I made a typo, however, I am taking action to build a relationship with my list and increase my affiliate commissions. That is the point isn’t it?
My WordPress sites, lol ok I will behave. No I won’t. Her site can’t even touch mine. Credibility?
I made a typo, so shoot, me and put me out of my misery. Or in the words of Michael Kyle to Junior (I love, love this quote):
Junior, we provide a roof over your head, food on your plate, and clothes on your back, and yet you wanna sit around complaining. If that’s not good enough for you, hey so long, see ya sucker, bon voyage, arrivederci, later loser, goodbye, good riddance, peace out, let the doorknob hit ya where the good Lord split ya, don’t come back around here no more, hasta la vista baby, kick rocks, and get the hell out!
Of course, the quote above doesn’t totally apply to this situation.
All I am saying is typos happen, get over yourself. So Sweetness take your red pen out, because that is all you can do….
